Description

Nutmeg is a Kerala spice that most people only meet as a dusty grating on a dessert. In honey it is something else: warm, slightly sweet, a little resinous, and very good on anything baked.

Honey 99.96%, nutmeg extract 0.04%, printed on the jar. The extract is the same one used in our Liquid Spice range, drawn from the kernel.

How to Use

• Over baked desserts or custard: 1 to 2 teaspoons
• Stirred into warm milk: 1 teaspoon
• On toast with butter: spread as it is
• In a cake or pudding batter: 1 tablespoon

Because that is what is in the jar. We print the number rather than call it pure honey.

Can I give it to a baby?

No. Honey of any kind should not be given to infants under 12 months.

Why has it crystallised?

Natural honey crystallises in cool weather. Stand the jar in warm water for a few minutes and it returns.
